El Paso, TX — We have an amazing weekend for many, not only because it’s Easter Sunday, but because we have some away fútbol to look forward to. Locomotive FC has a very important match-up this coming weekend after coming off of a tough loss against the 2nd best USL team of 2018, Phoenix Rising FC. The team will be traveling to Austin, Texas to face Austin Bold FC who currently sits in 11th place in the USL Western Conference. We are excited and motivated to see what changes will be made by Mark Lowry to adapt to their upcoming rival, and what to expect for this upcoming match.

Let’s break it down.

Coming from a tough loss at home against Phoenix Rising, the team expected a way different result, and the stats of the match clearly showed how dominant they really were in all aspects. It was eminent that even from the missed opportunities and their miscommunication in the final 3rd of the field, they completely dominated the match. However, Phoenix Rising took the advantage on two errors in the defense. The first one came from Logan Ketterer, who accidently slipped while running toward the forward with the ball, which gave Junior Flemmings a clear goal in the 7th minute. Then, the second goal of the match came in the 77th minute.

Picking up from that tough loss they have been working at fixing those minor errors and setbacks, as well as making sure the 4 injured players that missed out on the last match are up and running, and fully ready as they head out for their away match.

It will be an interesting match-up with Locomotive FC since both are brand new teams to the USL. It will be great to see how the coaches will interact and adjust to different styles of play.
