Sparks defeat defeat Storm 92-69.

The Los Angeles Sparks defeated the defending WNBA Champions Seattle Storm 92-69.

The Sparks will advance to the third round of the WNBA playoffs where they will face off against the Connecticut Sun.

At halftime the Sparks led 43-36 with Chelse Gray leading the way with 16 points. Gray finished the game with 21 points and 8 assists. Nneka Ogwumike added 17 points while Candace Parker had 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Natasha Howard led the Storm with 20 points in the loss.

The best of five series with the Sun begins tomorrow at 3:30pm pacific standard time in Connecticut. 

The Sparks extender their consecutive home winning streak to 16 games. 

Candace Parker twisted her ankle in the second quarter and was limping but stayed in the game.

Nneka Ogwumike won the 2019 Kim Perrot Sportsmanship Award and was honored before the game.  

Earvin “Magic” Johnson was in attendance and had tweeted out his support for the Sparks.
