Round Rock Spoils Chihuahuas Return to El Paso, De Goti Hits for Cycle

Following a first pitch thrown out by Walmart store #2201 manager (El Paso Mass Shooting), Round Rock infielder Alex De Goti hit for the cycle in the Express’ 20-12 win over El Paso Wednesday night in the Chihuahuas’ emotional return. The Express scored at least one run in all nine innings.

Aderlin Rodriguez batted 3-for-4 with two home runs and four RBIs for the Chihuahuas. El Paso’s four home runs in the game pushed their season total to 226, just five shy of tying the Pacific Coast League record. Ty France went 4-for-5 in the loss, boosting his league-leading batting average to .399.

Round Rock’s 23 hits were the most allowed by El Paso this season.
