The Boston Celtics are on their way to the semifinals in the Eastern Conference after sweeping the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the playoffs.

The Pacers fought hard in every game, but with Superstar Victor Oladipo sidelined and out for the season with an injury, they were outmatched. Bojan Bogdanovic led the Pacers with 22 points, and Tyreke Evans came off the bench with 21 points. Although the Pacers were swept, they still had a successful season. After Oladipo went down in January with a ruptured quad tendon, many experts had the Pacers missing the playoffs. The Pacers made the playoffs as the 5th seed and finished the season with a 48-34 win-loss record.

Gordon Hayward, who missed all of last season when he broke his foot during a preseason game, led the Celtics with 20 points. Up and coming star Jason Tatum scored 18 points, and Kyrie Iriving had 14 for the Celtics. With the Boston win, Irving has the highest playoff winning percentage in NBA history at 76.4%.
