The Los Angeles Rams open up their 2018 NFL football season against the Oakland Raiders on Monday night, they will not have to face to Khalil Mack who was sent to the Chicago Bears. The Rams and the Oakland Raiders will be the last teams to open the NFL season when they play Sept. 10 on Monday Night Football.
In an interview with LA times Rams running back Todd Gurley said “I’m just happy Khalil Mack got traded to the Bears and I don’t have to worry about him in Week 1,” and as he and the rest of the Rams offense should they won't have to face the 2016 NFL Defensive player of the year until Week 9. Less than 24 hours after the Rams gave defensive tackle Aaron Donald a contract extension of $135-million dollars that made him the highest paid defensive player for about a day then the Chicago Bears decided to one-up the Rams and make Khalil Mack the highest defensive player in history with a $141-million deal.

Right now the Rams are enjoying the return of Aaron Donald after a holdout that began in the offseason and did not end until this past Friday. Donald, who has 39 career sacks, has looked good during his two workouts, McVay said. The reigning 2017 defensive player of the year is getting used to working along side his new teammate Ndamukong Suh and longtime teammate Michael Brockers. Aaron Donald is the final pice of the puzzle for Rams defense and they got him with a week to prep and practice prior to the opening night game on Monday Night Football.
