Week 2 Fantasy Football Predictions
START EM’- LAR QB Jared Goff; Is a yes for me against a very poor Arizona defense that allowed more than 425 total yards in last week contest vs the Washington Redskins which ended in a 24-6 lost. With not one INT thrown last game for Goff and all the offensive weapons surrounding him, Jared is guaranteed to have a monster game and most likely to exceed last week numbers.
SIT’ EM’- DET QB Matthew Stafford; Week 1 was a disaster for vet QB Matthew Stafford. Throwing four INT, all to linebackers, vs the Jets surprising consistent defense. Addition to a QBR of 47.6 and San Fran’s defense not allowing more than 250 passing yards last week from Kirk Cousins and his explosive offense of the Vikings Stafford is bond to make mistakes and turning it over to the Niners more often than not. A most def sit for me.
SLEEPER- TB QB Ryan Fitzpatrick; What a week for stand in QB Ryan Fitzpatrick in week! Throwing for 417 yards 4 TD and 1 rushing score with a QBR of 156.3 Fitzpatrick is up against a strong defending Superbowl Champ Eagles defense. The Eagles defense only allowed 1 TD and 2 FGs in week 1 season opener against the Falcons regardless I think he is worth a risk to give him the starting job in your fantasy league. Its gonna be a highscoring contest with Fitzpatrick coming on top with a better offensive preformance.
START EM’- STL RB James Conner; A surprising week 1 from Steelers RB James Conner racking up 135 yards on 31 carries with 2 TD. He got the start since Le’Veon Bell future is uncertain in Pittsburgh. Conner took advantage of his opportunities, if you were lucky enough to pick him up, start him. Against a Chiefs defense that is currently last in yards allowed with 541 yards, plus the potential of Big Ben not starting, equals a big workload for the young back.
SIT EM’- BUF RB LeSean McCoy; The Buffalo Bills looked lost in last week lost vs the Baltimore Ravens. McCoy was third on the team in rushing with 22 yards on 7 carries. With a big question mark at QB that can’t set the tone right in the passing game I don't see McCoy bouncing back this week. Bills are up against a young and strong defensive that got 5 turnovers in the first half last year, I see the same happening this week. Sit that boy down.
SLEEPER- WAS RB Adrian Peterson; The vet still got it! AP rushed for 96 yards on 26 carries 1 TD and received for 70, including a 52 yard reception, in week 1 win. With a split performance with Chris Thompson, I believe AP will thrive on a Colts defense that let CIN Joe Mixon rush for 95 yards in lost in week 1. It’s a risk but a risk I’m willing to take.
START’EM- NO WR Michael Thomas; If you wanna talk about a baller Thomas is in that conversation. He had 16 receptions for 180 yards with 1 TD in the lost week 1 vs Bucs. The Saints are against a Cleveland defense that created turnovers but allowed 300 plus yards and I see the same happening coming this Sunday. The only thing that is going to be absent in this game is defense. I predict a high scoring game once again.
SIT’EM- WR ARZ Larry Fitzgerald; The vet wideout is up against a stacked Rams defense. A defense that cause 3 INT in week 1 win vs Derek Carr and his Raiders. Addition to the Cardinals not have not 1 receiving TD this season yet, I see this continuing with the dominant defense of the Rams. Sam Bradford is in for a tough one this week and same goes for Fitzgerald.
SLEEPER- WR NYJ Quincy Enunwa; Week 1 Enunwa led the Jets in every receiving category with 10 targets 63 yards and 1 TD. I see those number increasing with QB Sam Darnold finding his favorite receiver in Enunwa. Seen more balls then No. 1 receiver Robby Anderson, who only had one reception that was a 41 yard TD reception, Enunwa is very underrated option in week 2 matchup against the MIA Dolphins.
START EM’- LAC DEF; Buffalo Bills have the biggest question mark at the QB with Nathan Peterman and rookie Josh Allen. Last year the Chargers intercepted Peterman 5 times before half time, regardless who starts whether its Peterman or Allen the Chargers are gonna have a play day with an Buffalo offensive that only produced 153 total yards in week 1. I predict at least one defensive TD even with the absence of injured Joey Bosa.
SIT EM’- OAK DEF; With a new QB under snap for the Denver Broncos in Case Keenum ,who threw for 350+ 3 TD and 0 INT, the Raiders got their hands full once again in back-to-back weeks. Also a young RB core that both rushed for 71 yards the Raiders are gonna have a hard time stopping both passing and rushing game. No Mack, No Sacks!
SLEEPER- CLE DEF; It was probably hard to read that but yes my sleeper pick this week is the Cleveland Browns. Causing 6 turnovers on Big Ben and Pittsburgh I see Cleveland repeating the same against the Saints. Maybe not enough to get a win but enough to get points from a fantasy football perspective.
