LeBron James scored a game high 51 points on 19-32 shooting and was the tone setter from the tip. He got to the paint at will and was able to dictate the Warriors defense and personnel decision made by their coach Steve Kerr. He was the best player on the floor and had the Warriors team scratching their heads on how to show some type of resistance. They had multiple chances to win this game despite errors on their part with the offensive rebound from JR Smith and the non timeout called and the lack of a shot attempt in the final seconds.
The Cavs now get two days to soak all that took place on Thursday night. They have plenty of positives to gain from this game despite the loss. They played well enough on the league's best team home floor, took 20 point performances on the chin from the Warriors and still performed. They'll get ready for a Game 2 on Sunday night and if last night was indicative of the Cavs performance throughout the rest of the series....then these games may be more entertaining than we thought.
