Earlier today the Los Angeles Rams the reigning NFC West champions began the offseason by acquiring two of the best cornerbacks in the league Aquib Talib and Marcus Peters who were introduced as the newest members of the Rams defense. Defensive coordinator Wade Phillips will have two veteran pro-bowl cornerbacks to add to the mob squad.
Aquib Talib entered the league as a first-round pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2008, according to NFL career stats Talib has the most interceptions by a cornerback in the NFL (34) and his also impressive 10 career interceptions for touchdown rank fourth all time. Rams fans should be excited to have this explosive corner who can read plays and punish an opposing offense when they make a mistake and takes one to the house.

Marcus Peters who in his first three seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs has already registered 19 career interceptions an impressive stat. Pro Football Focus gave him a rating 85.7 and ranked him as a high quality player they grade players in eight different categories and he was the second highest.
The Rams did lose last years defensive captain Trumaine Johsnon after he signed with New York Jets for $15 million dollars a year, who was second behind Aaron Donald in team sacks but acquiring two Pro-Bowlers Aquib Talib and Marcus Peters for significantly less money that it would have cost them to re-sign Johnson is win win scenario for the Rams. It will be an exciting year for Rams to see what this star studded defense with the likes of Aaron Donald and the rest of the team.
