The Cleveland Cavaliers and Indiana Pacers played a tough, hard fought series that came down to a Game 7 with the winner taking all. The Cleveland Cavaliers having not just the best player in the series but also the best in the world being the difference in this series in LeBron James. He was a monster in this series and believe it or not had to be, with the Pacers being the overall better “team”. The Cavs needed every second James was on the floor to be who he has been for them this season.

He finished off the Pacers scoring a game high 45 points and pulled down 9 rebounds and 7 assist. He averaged 34.4 points, 10.1 rebounds, & 7.7 assist in this series. The Cavs started forward Tristan Thompson in this who wasn’t a factor at all in the first 6 games playing a total 23 minutes could have ultimately been the difference in the game as well with a double-double 15 points and 10 rebounds. All-Star Kevin Love chipped in with 14 points and 6 rebounds.

The Cavs were a plus 12 from the free throw line and attempted 16 more than the Pacers. They outrebounded the Pacers 44-37. The Cavs bench only contributed 17 points.

The Indiana Pacers who not many gave a chance to beat the Cavs played hard and it came down to a possession of them moving on to the next round. They were led by their All-Star Victor Oladipo who scored 30 points, a game high 12 rebounds and 6 assist. Darren Collison had his best game of the series scoring 23 points on 9-13 shooting. Thaddeus Young had second double-double of the series with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

The Pacers and Victor Oladipo have earned respect from LeBron and the Cavs and have found a upcoming star to build around for the future in Oladipo. The Cavs now prepare for the Toronto Raptors the team with the best record in the Eastern Conference. What we saw from James in this round against the Pacers, he will definitely need an encore to take out the number one seed.
