Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield went to the Cleveland Browns with the No. 1 pick. Darnold going to the Jets was a surprise. 5. Bradley Chubb - Picked by: Denver Broncos - DE - College: NC State

Bradley Chubb a strong 269 pound defensive end with a 4.65 forty time who can work as a stand-up outside linebacker, is a very exciting pick for Broncos nation who last year didn't have as an effective. Chubb, the 2017 ACC defensive player of the year, is the first N.C. State player taken in the first round since a trio went in 2006. Defensive end Mario Williams was the No. 1 pick in that draft. Chubb wore Williams’ No. 9 jersey at N.C. State the past two seasons and broke Williams’ school records for sacks (26) and tackles for loss (60).
