The Philadelphia Sixers win game 3 in South Beach defeating the Heat 128-108. The Sixers after a tough loss to the Heat in Game 2 came back clicking on all cylinders. They got a huge boost with return of their All-Star Center Joel Embiid who missed the first two games with a faical injury.
The Sixers relied on their big man and he delivered. He led the Sixers with 23 points and grabbed 7 rebounds and played 30 minutes. He hit big shots for his team in the fourth and he let the Heat crowd know about it. He showed why his frustration after the Game 2 loss put the pressure on the Sixers to let him play. Ben Simmons was happy to have his All-Star back and he capitalized on it with another double-double scoring 19 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Dario Saric also had a big game with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Marco Belinelli who has been the most productive player off the bench for the Sixers also had a huge game with 21 points on 4-8 from 3pt.
The Heat played inspired basketball after winning Game 2 in Philadelphia but weren’t able to figure out how to slow down Embiid and the Sixers three point shooting. Goran Dragic led the Heat with 23 points and 8 assist and was the only Heat player to score at least 20 points. Justice Winslow contributed big off the bench with a double-double scoring 19 points and had 10 rebounds. No other player for the Heat scored more than 14. Dwayne Wade who scored 28 points in Game 2 and was vintage playoff wade was held to just 8 points in Game 3 on 2-10 shooting.
The Sixers with Embiid back are a legitimate contender in these playoffs. They believe they can beat anybody and the way they look with their All-Star in the middle who can argue that.
