The Houston Rockets defeated a tough Minnesota Timberwolves team 104-101 on Sunday night to take Game 1. The Rockets squeaked out a win against an eighth seeded Timberwolves team that played hard all night and almost stole game 1 from the team with the best record in the association. James Harden had something to say about that.

The frontrunner for this year’s MVP James Harden stole the show scoring 44 points and dishing out assist. He got to his spots all night and danced all over the T-Wolves defenders. Clint Capela contributed 24 points and grabbed rebounds. Chris Paul added 14 points but had six turnovers.

The T-Wolves got balanced scoring from 5 different players. Andrew Wiggins led with points Jamal Crawford and Jeff Teague both scored 15 points each. The Rockets held All-Star Karl Anthony-Towns to just 8 points on 3-9 shooting but did snatch down 12 rebounds. The Wolves must find a way to slow down Harden…or it’s going to be a long series for them.

What To Watch For: Will the Wolves continue to let Harden dance on them and pick his spots?
