The Oklahoma City Thunder in a crucial Western Conference show down defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 109-104. This game was important for both teams as they focus on playoff seeding. The Thunder with this win stayed in the fourth seed in the conference and the Pelicans didn’t change spots and stayed in eighth.
The Thunder were led by their leader Russell Westbrook who had another triple double scoring 26 points grabbing 15 rebounds and dishing out 13 assist. All-Star Paul George led all scorers with 27 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Carmelo Anthony also scored 16 points.
The Pelicans were led by All-Starter Anthnoy Davis who scored 25 points and pulled down 11 rebounds. Ian Clark off the bench contributed 16 points and was 3-3 from three. The Pelicans bench outscored the Thunder bench 41-22 but still wasn’t able to find a way to get a win in a crucial regular season game.
There’s ten days left in the regular season and the Western Conference will probably continue to shift in spots 4-8. This last week and a half will be a fight and could determine the future for a lot of teams.
