The Boston Celtics (49-23) hand the Portland Trailblazers their second straight loss defeating them 105-100. The Trailblazers after reeling off 13 straight have now loss consecutive games for the first time since February 4-5. The Celtics sweep the season serious versus the Blazers. The Celtics without All-Star guard Kyrie find a way to beat a legit playoff contender they previously defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 100-99.
The Celtics were led by Marcus Morris who has played well since Kyrie has been out scoring 30 points. Terry Rozier chipped in with 16 points, and rookie Jayson Tatum added 13 points and 6 rebounds.
The Blazers who are currently sitting in the third seed in the Western Conference (44-28) got 26 a piece from their stars Damion Lillard and CJ McCollum. Lillard also had 8 assist. Forward Al-Farouq Aminu chipped in with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
The Trailblazers who recently had the long winning streak of 13 and with the two straight losses are only one game ahead of the Oklahoma City Thunder who is in the fourth spot. They now have to travel to Oklahoma for a Sunday showdown with the Thunder and that game can have a major impact on seeding come playoff time.
