They faced former big man DeAndre Jordan for the first time this season since Jordan signed with Dallas this past off-season. They surrendered 23 rebounds (6 off) to Jordan and 17 offensive as a team. Jordan said after the game: "I know it's demoralizing to other teams -- playing defense and then having us get offensive rebounds that sucks the life out of a team, little by little.
The Clippers were outrebounded 64-44. The most significant rebound the Clippers gave up was to Dorian Finney-Smith who tipped in a rebound with 35 seconds remaining to give Dallas the lead for good.
Montrezl Harrell led the Clippers with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Danilo Gallinari and Lou Williams each had 21 points.
Williams said after the game: "It was a game we should have won, we didn't do a lot of things in our style of play."

Patrick Beverly who did not have a great game offensively was ejected in the midway through the 4th for tossing the ball to the first row towards a fan whom Beverly said was disrespectful. After the game regarding the incident with that particular fan:
"Anybody that knows me knows that I'm a family first guy and some things are just unacceptable. If no one is going to control fans, what are we supposed to do as players? I'm a grown man, but when you bring family into it, especially in a basketball game, there's only so much you can tolerate as a man."

DeAndre Jordan played his first 10 seasons in Los Angeles. He showed why he would be missed in Los Angeles despite his former team coming into their building with the best record in the West. It wasn't just his monster 23 rebound game but also his ability to change shots at the rim.
Harrison Barnes led all scorers with 30 points (11-28 fg) and had 9 rebounds to go along with his game-high. Reserve JJ Barea had a efficient 24 points (9-18 fg) off the bench.
Dorian Finney-Smith who started in place of rookie Luka Doncic who sat out due to a hip injury (right hip) chipped in with 10 points and 7 rebounds.
The Mavericks will welcome The Portland Trailblazers on Tuesday 12/4.
The Clippers get a chance to get back in the winning category as they travel to New Orleans to take on the Pelicans on the second night of a back-to-back @ 5:00 PT.
