The Lakers found a way to win despite allowing the T-Wolves to shoot 50% from three while making 20 of 40. They made a good amount themselves, making 15 of their own (15-34).

They had four starters led by LeBron James in score in double figures. James who was 1 assist away from a triple-double finished with 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assist. James was coming off his lowest field attempts (12) in the loss to the Raptors.

Along with James, three other players scored 20+ points. Kyle Kuzma 21, Brandon Ingram had 20, and Josh Hart the Spark off the bench had 21 points making five of seven from three. They did a much better job on the glass this time around against this team after giving up 20 offensive rebounds the first time these two teams met.

Newly acquired and Compton native Tyson Chandler who signed with the Lakers a day before after being bought out by the Phoenix Suns played a nice role for Coach Luke Walton. In his 23 minutes of action he had 2 points and 9 rebounds. None bigger than the two offensive rebounds late in the fourth quarter to help secure the victory.

Chandler said after the game:

"It's honestly all love, I love this city the way they love me. When you're homegrown from here and going to high school and all that and you've had these same fans, and now you represent the jersey that everybody has been cheering for their entire lives, you kind of become one. I've been on the other side and played the villain. Now it's great to be on this side and actually rep them."

The Minnesota Timberwolves (4-8) had all five starters in double figures. Derrick Rose led the T-Wolves with a game-high 31 points. He made seven of nine from three as he continues to show people he can get back to the 2011 MVP Rose or close to it.

Jimmy Butler had 24 points he made 5-8 from distance and 9-19 overall. Andrew Wiggins had 19 and Taj Gibson had a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. The Lakers did a better job keeping Karl-Anthony Towns off the glass in this one holding him to just 9 total rebounds (2 off) and 13 points.

Lakers Next Game: Saturday 11/10 @ Sacramento Kings.
