Houston Rockets searching for defense

Houston, TX — The Houston Rockets entered the 2018 NBA regular with high hopes after last years record of (65-17) and a game away from the NBA Finals. Last year they traded for Chris Paul in the off-season, giving James Harden the kind of dynamic ball handler he hasn’t played with since he was teammates with Russell Westbrook. And this off-season they acquired Carmelo Anthony who had a difficult time finding his role in OKC and is looking for a fresh start in Houston.

Through five games the Rockets have really struggled and their record shows it they are 1-4 and with injuries being a huge concern. James Harden and James Ennis were out for Friday’s lost to the Clippers, Carmelo Anthony started the game but was a liability on the defensive switches and pick and rolls. Some of the Houston Rockets defensive issues are that they are being out scored by 24 points per 100 possessions in 48 minutes with Anthony on the floor.

After their second loss to the Clippers one without Chris Paul and the other without James Harden. They will look to bounce back and get their second win of the year, the Rockets will host the Portland Trailblazers Tuesday night 10/30.
