The starters played most of the first half before the bench and rotation players played the entire second half. The bench will be a key component to this team’s success according to Coach Rivers will be “huge” and collectively the bench has potential to play better than it’s starters.

The Clippers finished last season 42-40 and have a whole new team without an All-Star.

Since Doc arrived in 2013 he’s always had an All-Star to lean on at some point during the season, but not this year. He will lean on veterans and his young high drafted rookies (Gilgeous-Alexander & Robinson) to help this Clipper team make it back to the postseason.

Then there are some players Doc will have to get rid of before the season starts. The Clippers have a lot of guys with similar attributes who do similar things on the floor and he will have to make some decisions. He said from what he saw in the second half that all the guys who played had their “spurts.”

Doc said in a post-game interview about the final cuts “it’s going to be hard, it’s always hard.” The final cuts will be made Monday October 15th.

The Clippers open their regular season on Wednesday 10/17 vs the Denver Nuggets @ 7:30 PT
