Los Angeles, CA—The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Denver Nuggets 109-103 on Tuesday night to stay undefeated in the preseason (4-0).

He decided to go with with Boban Marjanovic in place of Marcin Gortat. He got very good production from Marjanovic in limited minutes (15). He had a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds (5 off) and was tough for the Nuggets to keep off the glass. Coach Rivers said in a post-game interview “that he wanted to see how he did against a stretch five (Nikola Jokic).” He said “overall he did well” which is a good sign for Rivers and the Clippers heading into the regular season.
They also started three guards: Patrick Beverly, Avery Bradley, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. It’s the first time the Clippers got a look at a three guard lineup. Those three guards together on the floor should play fast and be very good defensively.
Avery Bradley said in a post-game interview that the combination of himself and Beverly “we approach the game with a defensive mentality” and those two on the ball defenders will look to wear on opposing guards.
Rookie 13th overall selection Jerome Robinson had his best game so far as a pro scoring 12 points (3-8 3pt) in 26 minutes. He was more aggressive looking for his shot and asserted himself the moment he stepped on the floor. Coach Rivers said after the game in his post-game interview about the difference between his first three games and this one “he shot the ball.”
The Clippers have just one more dress rehearsal before the regular season begins next Wednesday 10/17 vs these same Nuggets. They’ll take on the Maccabi Haifa Thursday 10/11 @7:30 PT.
